We are a group of graduate students in the field of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, and Deaf Education at Utah State University who have a special interest in providing early intervention services and auditory oral training to children with hearing loss and their families. We are working in conjunction with the Global Foundation for Children With Hearing Loss to provide education, training, and resources to children, parents, and teachers in Vietnam Summer 2011.

This blog is used to provide information regarding fundraising activities, upcoming events, services provided, and information on the graduate students as they work hard to raise enough funds to cover supplies, educational materials, and travel expenses.

Weekly Update

We have just begun trying to reach our goal of $15,000, and we're getting closer little by little! Please help us reach our goal and help provide the following for the school for children with hearing loss in Vietnam:
  • Hearing aids
  • Supplies for the hearing aids (solar powered batteries, dri-aid kits and cleaning tools)
  • Children’s books
  • Early Intervention materials (testing supplies and educational materials)
  • Toys for their new early intervention program
  • Travel expenses for 3-4 graduate students
Send us an e-mail at childrenwithhearingloss@gmail.com if you'd like to purchase our ice cream through Casper's or our Papa Murphy's coupon books (click here for details). These fundraisers end this Friday (February 18, 2011)! If you don't like pizza or ice cream, or if you're just too far away for a personal delivery, you can still donate to our cause by clicking our paypal donation button on the left; we can accept all major credit cards at this link! Thank you!

Stay tuned for biographies of the students we're sending to Vietnam!

Here's where we stand in our fundraiser efforts right now:
